Dear Spartan Families, We are excited to announce the hiring of Oliver Evans as the new Head Coach for Gaston Day School Varsity Girls and Boys Tennis. Coach Evans brings close to a decade of competitive tennis experience, including extensive participation in USTA tournaments and varsity high school tennis competition. He is passionate about developing young athletes through skill instruction, sportsmanship, and confidence-building, while fostering a positive and encouraging team culture. In addition to his tennis background, Coach Evans is an experienced mentor and local professional who is committed to helping student-athletes succeed both on and off the court. His coaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamentals, competitive strategy, and creating an environment where every player has the opportunity to grow and thrive. Coach Evans shares, "I'm excited to join the Gaston Day School community and help our student-athletes develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game. My goal is to create a positive, competitive environment where every player can improve, have fun, and reach their full potential both on and off the court."
